Film Submission

ORDINANCE
-Festival is organiced by SWD-Group in Fredrikstad-Norway since 2011.

-The object of the festival is to promote screening of independent films in the Norway-Scandinavean-European-Worldwide countries but festival is open for all international films.

-FIFF obliged to nominate a independent film of each categories with "FredrikstadGoldenBear" award... 
-FIFF categories this year are; Commercial, game, music video, student film, animation film, short film, children film, documentary, feature, etc... 
-FIFF have 5 film/3+2 system for competiotin; (5 film competition of each categories; 3 film from worldwide foregn country + 2 film from local inland country)

-GSF obliged to nominate a best film/art for peace&love of festival with "Golden Star" award.

ENTRIES
-All films from all around the world is welcoming to the festival. 

-Films; Commercial, short, animated, student film, children film, music video, documentary, feature etc. films can be send. 

-Maximum running time: 90 minutes
-Films mus have english subtitle. 

-Films must have been completed close time.

-A film can not enter the competition twice.

-A film can not enter the competition in several categories.

-The director or producer of the film must send the film.

-The film’s producer is liable for all copyrighted material included in the film. Festival will not accept responsibility for material published or screened without the proper authorization of the materials copyright holder.

SUBMISSION & DEADLINE
-The submission opens 1st March and the deadline is 15th September.

-The following material has to be sent together with each submitted film:

-a completed film information e-mail as "Film Entry".

-a  DVD-PAL preview copy of the film (only one film pr. DVD)

-or a link to a downloadable version of the film in pal-mpeg-quick format by youtube-vimeo-etc...

-at least 1 digital picture from the film minimum 300 DPI (by e-mail).

-If your film has dialogue that is not English, please add subtitles.
-If that is not possible, include an English dialogue script (by e-mail).

-The festival will not return preview copies.

-Submitting films is free of charge.

TRANSPORT & INSURANCE
-The entrant is responsible for transport and insurance of the film to the festival, as well as any other charges.

-Festival is not responsible for storage, insurance of the films while in the festival’s custody and return transportation.

-In case of loss or damage of a print, the obligation of the festival is limited to the replacement value.

SELECTION & SCREENINGS
-The preselection is organized in cooperation with SWD-Group.
-All students film and some of the commissioned films, will be selected to be screened at the local festival.

-The preselection results will be announced on the festival website.

-All films selected for the competition will be screened at Festival.

-Jury and awards will be presented at festival web site.

-Standard screening format is DVD-DCP, for other formats please contact festival staff after pre-selections. Screening copy must arrive soon.

ACCEPTANCE OF THE REGULATIONS
-The board of Festival will decide on any cases of doubt which have not been mentioned in these regulations.

-By submitting the Film Entry Form (or send an email) for Festival the entrants accept the terms of regulations as stated above.
